Open House Festival 2023 |
For the first time we opened our building—and the GK Chesterton Collection—for London's Open House Festival. With the combined efforts of many staff volunteers, we were able to host guided tours looking at the history of Fischer Hall and the people and organisations who have called it home. The tour ended with an introduction to the G.K. Chesterton Collection, its new home with Notre Dame London, and a mini exhibition of key Collection items. Many of our guests had only a passing acquaintance with GKC, and left with a clearer sense of who he was—and in some cases, inspired to read more of his works. Open House also resulted in a number of follow up enquiries and visits, and has helped us raise greater awareness for the Collection. Grazie all'impegno congiunto di molti volontari del personale, siamo stati in grado di ospitare visite guidate alla storia della Fischer Hall e alle persone e organizzazioni che l'hanno abitata. L'Open House ha dato luogo a numerose richieste di informazioni e visite e ci ha aiutato a far conoscere meglio la Collezione.  |
